Mercury's Epoxy gives you plenty of time to get the brass tubes inserted and positioned in your pen blanks. If CA sets up too quickly or you don't like it's fumes, then you need epoxy. Mercury Epoxy is available in three different set times - 5 Minute, 15 Minute, and 30 Minute. This 8 oz kit provides two 4 oz bottles, one each of resin and hardener. This epoxy is made right here in the USA - Atlanta, GA. It has incredible shear strength and gap filling capability and is great for blanks with slightly oversized holes. Aside from making pens, this epoxy is great for many other projects. If you need and adhesive that sets quickly, has incredible strength, is waterproof, and fills small gaps, then you need Mercury's Two-Part Epoxy.

Mercury Epoxy can thicken in the bottle to the consistency of paste or Jello. This is normal and can be easily remedied. Warm it up and it will thin back out and stay thin. Be aware that warm epoxy sets up much more quickly, so it’s best to let it cool down. Personally, I set it on my truck’s dashboard during a warm, sunny day, but you can also use a bucket of hot water or a small space heater.

Please be aware that the epoxy is generally clear, but it might have an amber color to it.
